It appears to be only a rumor, but earlier today, fans around Wichita were buzzing with the news that their 29-year old second baseman Kenny Gonzalez had been asking for a trade. "I couldn't imagine him saying bad things about Wichita or wanting to leave." said one person.

 | Thursday, September 6th, 2007: Scaggs Inks 2-year Pact
A contract extension between Bernard Scaggs and Wichita was reached earlier today.
Scaggs will continue to play for the Gamblers, and will pocket $6,200,000 over the next 2 years.
This season Scaggs is 3-and-2 with 3 saves and a 3.53 ERA. He has given up 57 hits in 66.1 innings with 45 strikeouts.

 | Monday, August 6th, 2007: Liberty League Player of the Week Selected
It was announced today by the Liberty League that Wichita left fielder Dino Carraza had received the Player of the Week Trophy for his superlative play last week.
The Wichita left fielder wreaked havoc on opposing pitchers, pounding them for a .458 average (11-24) with 3 home runs and 9 RBIs on his way to claiming the honor.
This season Carraza is batting at a .265 clip with 12 home runs and 42 RBIs.
