| Breaking News |  | Thursday, September 13th, 2007: Flick Extends Stay with Riversharks
Memphis officials and Thomas Flick shook hands on a $16,980,000 deal today. The extension will keep Flick from becoming a free agent for at least 3 years.
This season Flick has crafted a 11-11 mark with a 2.85 ERA in 202.1 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .247 against him and he has 100 strikeouts.

 | Saturday, September 8th, 2007: Riversharks Holds Houston Scoreless
Raymond Alfred of the Memphis Riversharks really strutted his stuff on the mound today with a 5-0 victory. He was almost untouchable, bewildering the Houston Apollos with a 5-hit shutout in which he struck out 6 and gave up 2 walks.
This season in 30 starts Raymond Alfred has a record of 11-12 with 133 strikeouts in 200.1 innings and a 3.32 ERA.

 | Saturday, August 18th, 2007: 2000-th Hit for Connor!
It was a banner day for Preston Connor, who collected his 2000th hit in the Memphis 6-4 win over Houston. Connor went 2-5 in the game as both Riversharks and Apollos fans cheered Connor, when he reached base after his historic hit.
"It feels great to get #2000," Connor said afterward, "especially since we won the game."
Lifetime Connor is batting .270 with 377 doubles, 23 triples, 234 home runs and 938 RBIs in 2153 games.
